How Revenue Sharing Works
Snapchat says ads can appear between Snaps in Public Stories or within Spotlight, and creators in the program receive a share of revenue. Ads are primarily served based on how much time Snapchatters spend watching your Stories and Spotlights. Spotlight videos must be at least 1 minute long to be eligible for revenue.
Important Watch-Time Update
Snapchat Support says that beginning May 7, 2026, creators must maintain at least 100 hours of Total Spotlight View Time over the last 28 days to qualify for maximum Creator Rewards. This appears in Insights under Daily Rewards Eligibility.
Accuracy note: Snapchat confirms an invite-only Monetization Program for eligible Snap Stars, with ad revenue sharing on Public Stories and eligible Spotlight videos. Snapchat says ads are primarily served based on watch time, not a fixed cents-per-view table, so these calculators use adjustable planning RPM scenarios.
